Alternative Design of Low-Tension Cable Barrier Adjacent to Steep Slopes

Description:

The system must meet MASH TL-3 safety requirements. The barrier system was to be developed for use adjacent to a 1.8H:1V slope. It was desired that the revised design utilize wider post spacing and reduced lateral barrier offset from the slope to improve the overall cost of the system. The preferred offset was 2 ft (610 mm) or less.
