Description: The Rent-A-Flash Type II Barricade is a work-zone traffic control device. The as-tested device was 41.25 in. (1047.75 mm) tall by 24.0 in. (610 mm) wide by 36.25 in. (920.75 mm) long. The device has a total weight of 22.3 lbs (10.12 kg). The Type II Barricade consists of four (4) Roll Formed Steel 12 Ga. legs, and four (4) panels made of 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) MDO Plywood Painted White. Each set of two (2) steel legs are parallel and connect to two (2) panels. The device can be split into two sides. On side A, the top panel measures 12.0 in. (304 mm) by 24 in. (610 mm) while the bottom panel measures 8.0in. (203 mm) x 24.0 in. (610 mm). Both panels are secured to the legs at their edges with eight (8) 0.25 in. x 0.81 in. C1006 Steel Rivets. Side B is identical to side A, using the same materials and hardware. The two (2) sets of steel legs are joined at the top with a 5056 Solid Aluminum Rivet 0.35 in. x 1.0 in., allowing the sign to stand and form an A-shape.
