MASH Testing of a Guardrail System on 1H:1V Slope
Report Number(s): 617771
Description: The installation consisted of a thrie-beam guardrial system 181 ft 3 inches in length. The steel guardrial posts were spaced at 75 inches, with a 14-inch tall timber blockout, which held the their-beam at 34 inches from grade to the top of the rail. Each end was terminated with a steel post terminal, and a symmetic W-to Thrie-beam transition. The ground was sloped from the midspan between posts 9 and 10 to the midspan between psots 21 and 22 for a total length of 75 feet. The slope was 1:1. THe base of the slope was a minimum of 72 inches below the road surface. ----- MASH Testing of a Guardrail System on 1H:1V Slope Keywords: Guardrial, MASH, Longitudinal Barrier, Crash Test, Slope, Simulation.
