MASH TL-4 Evaluation of Concrete Median Barrier with Fence Mounted on Top

Description: The installation consisted of a 72 inch tall, 2 inch mesh chain-link fence mounted on top of a series of 36 inch tall concrete barriers: a traffic barrier system on the upstream end of the installation, and a median barrier system on the downstream end. The construction of concrete single slope barrier system on the downstream end. The construction of concrete single slope barrier system was utilized under two different projects to minimize costs and expedite construction and testing. The impact side of such “combined” barrier system was the same and consistent throughout the installation and therefore the barrier combination did not have any influence on the impact performance under this project. The slope of the barrier was 10.8 degrees.
