Description: The test installation was a bridge rail, comprised of four HSS tubular rails, with the top and bottom rail each being 5 × 3 × ½ inch and the two middle rails each being 6 × 6 × ⅜ inch. The top of the uppermost of the four rails was 3 ft-6 inches from the top of the asphalt overlay, with 6-inch vertical spacings between the rails.
