Taller 42-inch barrier height can result in greater load from the impacting vehicle and cause greater lateral moment in the anchorage. In a recent small car test with an anchored tall F-shape barrier, the vehicle was contained and redirected, but it rolled over. Due to these concerns, the 42-inch barrier with the anchorage of the previously tested 32-inch tall barrier should be crash tested to determine its MASH compliance.
